The much awaited results to the supplementary examinations conducted by Higher Secondary Education Board are published now. The results are live and can be viewed in your mobile using SparrowSMS.  All you have to do is type HSEB<space>Your Symbol Number and then send it to 35001. Earlier this year, of the 33556 students appeared in the HSEB science exams for grade 12, 25% of students could not make it in the results. The pass percentage in management results was much lower, much against the expectation of many students. Of the 29911 students appearing in the Supplementary exams this year, 25715 students have passed, taking the pass percentage an impressive 85.97%. Nepal Elections Results 2013 - Poll counts going on strong nationwide

The Second Constituent Assembly Election results has gripped the interest of entire nation right now. The vote count in many of the constituencies have already been completed and the winners have been announced. So far, the Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) have been leading the race with most wins, the Nepali Congress (NC) is at a close second. The winners for the first Constituent Elections, Unified Moaist, are far behind in the polls and so are Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), FORUM and other parties.  

Since the poll results widely affects the completion of a popular constitution in the Nepal, citizens are closely observing the poll counts being carried out at various voting centers nationwide. Despite being in the loosing end, Maoist have been grabbing news by deciding to walk out of vote counting polled in the elections, stating that the entire process was a fraud and polls were rigged. Maoist Chief Prachanda threatened that Unified Maoist will not join the Constituent Assembly if the poll counting was not stopped immediately. The latest update - off the 240 seats, winners of 238 have been decided and congress is at the top with 103 wins. Similarly, in the Proportional Representation (समानुपातिक) polls, as of right now, congress has taken the first place in the counts being carried nationwide, with UML now running at a very close second.

Earlier in the elections held on November 19, a record number of people showed up to cast their votes throughout the nation. Dolpa saw the highest turn around with 83% polls and Dolakha and Rautahaut also saw 80% polls completed. The Constituent Assembly Election 2013 was successfully concluded today all over Nepal. Apart from a few minor incidents here and there and the cancellation of voting at one poll station in Jumla, the process of voting was carried out peacefully in the various designated voting centers throughout the country. The Election Commission stated that the second Constituent Assembly Elections saw a historic turn around with around 70% of registered voters showing up to cast their votes.

Now that the first phase of voting is over, the second and a very vital phase of counting of votes is about to start. To see through the entire process of counting as soon as possible, in some of the districts the voting will start from today itself. A majority of terai districts will commence the counting of votes by midnight. The announcement of final results of the entire vote count will take an approximate duration of 10 days.


But keeping up with the latest ballot count could not have been any easier this time. All you have to do is type KFM <DistrictName> <AreaNo> and send it to 33001. You will immediately get the latest and updated vote count of all the candidates appearing in the elections from that area on your mobile. For example, if you did cast your vote for the candidates who stood in the election from Area 1 in Jhapa, simply type KFM JHAPA 1 and send it to 33001. You will immediately get a message on your mobile which will show the latest and updated number of votes scored by each of candidates Jhapa Area number 1.

Nepal all set to play in the friendly game against India

The game will be held at Kanchenjunga Stadium in Siliguri of India. Any match in which Nepal goes one-on-one against India is always a major attraction for the footballing fans. Last time the two teams met, it was the group game in SAFF 2013 where Nepal displayed a solid gameplay and won by a score of 2-1. The game was held in Kathmandu, and the national team had a massive home support.

Miss Teen Nepal 2013 - Call for participants

The organizers of Miss Teen Nepal, Kathmandu Jaycees (JCI), have announced the application call for "Kathmandu Jaycees Miss Teen Nepal 2013". Popularly taken as the second largest beauty pageant in Nepal, Miss Teen Nepal was first started in 2002 and then on have been held annually. The applicants must age between 16 years to 19 years to be eligible for participation.


Ever since the initiation of the pageant, the organizers have been highly encouraging those who are eligible to participate and explore as well as hone their talents. Last year, the winner at the Grande Finale of Miss Teen Nepal 2012 was Keshu Khadka, with the runner-ups being Monica Sapkota and Ayushma Shrestha.
