mBillionth is a prestigious platform that assesses the role of mobile and telecom industries in the development of South Asian countries-Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. In the year 2014, 3 Projects from Nepal succeeded to reach the finals under three categories, i.e. m-Governance, m-Entertainment and m-health. The event was held on 18th July, 2014 in New Delhi, India. The mobile and telecom companies from different nations were present at the function where JanakiTechnology Pvt. Picovico, an application that helps to create a video from photos, had been nominated under the category of m-Entertainment. It is truly a moment of pride for the nation, not only to be standing amongst the recognized mobile innovations of South Asia, but also to be standing as a winner and holding the trophy of success. This has evidenced that the initiative taken by DOFE Nepal, with the support of Sparrow SMS, has brought a remarkable social change and has played a crucial role in social development of the country.
