Load shedding schedule increases to 10 hours a day !

with 0 Comment
Get the latest load-shedding schedules on your mobileType G<Group No.> and then send it to 35001 For example, if your group number is 5, type G5 and then send it to 35001
(You can also download the Sparrow App to access latest Loadshedding Update and more utilities from here: sparrowsms.com/android.)

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has announced a new change in load shedding schedules to be effective from 2072-09-04 .The power cut period is estimated to be around 70 hours per week i.e. 10 hours of daily power cut.The last load shedding schedule was revised on 2072-08-18.

This is very disappointing news for all the Nepalese. Especially, when most of the households depend on electricity and induction cookers to cook their food. According to NEA, the primary reason behind this is low level water in the rivers. The demand and production gap of electricity in Nepal is estimated to be around more than 300 MWs. Even after initiating different projects in this sector, there has not been a noticeable difference.
Bearing this in mind, Sparrow provides an easier approach to check load shedding schedules easily using SMS or App (sparrowsms.com/android)

Users can type G<Group No.> and then send it to 35001. For example, if your group no. is 5, type G5 and then send it to 35001 to get the latest load shedding schedule on their cell phones. They can also download the Sparrow App to access latest Loadshedding Update and more utilities from here: sparrowsms.com/android
